A Bosom Friend Makes the World Different!
A grateful heart is indeed important. When a person understands gratitude, they will work diligently, conscientiously, and proactively find ways to overcome various obstacles on their journey forward.
Most of the netizens were born in the post-World War II era. We grew up in relatively peaceful times, so most of us are ordinary individuals without life-or-death dangerous experiences.
We may not have personally experienced the smoke and flames of war like our predecessors, nor necessarily possess greater wisdom than them.
However, through efforts, we can learn from their unique thinking, such as Bayesian probability analysis. This approach is applicable not only to the space exploration of the Apollo Moon Landing project, but also to the analysis of the evolution of human civilization. Bayesian probability analysis can help people broaden their perspectives and expand their knowledge.
Guided by the well-experienced presbyterians, integrating the wisdom from Western civilization with the Oriental Philosophy, we can see the way ahead more clearly. Based on Bayesian probability analysis, it can be observed that despite continuous virus mutations, through various concerted efforts, humanity will effectively control the spread of the virus in the year 2024.
A Bosom
Friend Makes the World Different!
— Unconventional Wisdom
Extraordinary
talents often have extraordinary experiences.
Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as an
esteemed institution, nurtures many talents across diverse fields. Dr. Robert
Lee is one of them.
Over the years, while assisting Dr. Robert Lee
with several books, I see that he is a versatile, exceptionally talented, and
highly individualistic overseas Chinese. As a graduate of MIT, Dr. Lee
possesses profound theoretical expertise in the aerospace field. He also contributed unique inventions and
innovations in areas such as missiles and aircraft, holding numerous patented
technologies.
In the aerospace domain, one of Dr. Robert Lee's
renown peers was Mr Qian Xuesen. His circle of friends is primarily
concentrated in the fields of science and culture. However, in East Asia, Dr. Lee may be not
widely known. Some netizens might be more familiar with the story of his
father, General Lee Zhen, a prominent anti-Japanese military leader and comrade-in-arms of Ye Jianying (also known as Vice Chairman Yap in the
1980's, who was one of the Top Ten Marshals well known for his mild and
pragmatic personality in the turbulent waves of history, and therefore admired
by many people for his special efforts in the Reform and Opening Up process of
China) . Both Lee and Yap grew into
extraordinary talents during the tumultuous war years of the 20th century.

General Lee Zhen, known for his resolute
character and nicknamed "Lee Kui," demonstrated great courage
characterized by "charging into the
fray with unmatched fierceness".)
Without
a special spiritual strength, it's difficult to keep a persistent pursuit for decades and continue advancing.
Behind extraordinary courage and perseverance lies the remarkable wisdom of his
mother, constantly inspiring him to move forward.
Robert's
unusual life course is also featured with his own intellectual awareness.
Throughout
his lifetime, he keeps in mind his mother's unique teachings, fostering a sense
of gratitude. Consequently, he naturally dedicated himself to diligent study.
He applied Bayesian thinking to his hobby — Bridge Game, and became a world
master in Bridge field; More importantly, He applied Bayesian approach in
aerospace research, and achieved dazzling success in the aerospace domain. Due to his great contributions in the Apollo
Moon Landing project launched by Kennedy, Dr. Lee entered the Western Hall of
Fame in the 1970s.
Unconventional Maternal Love

(Note: The original title of the essay is "Two Important Lessons". It is one of Dr. Lee's works dedicated to his mother. An inspiring and heartwarming story that is worth sharing with everyone. Please forward it to your relatives and friends.)
During Dr. Lee's childhood and adolescence, he also endured various hardships. In his teenage time, China was bombed by Japanese forces, and Dr. Lee's whole family sought refuge to survive the bombings. In his childhood, at the age of six, he suffered from pneumonia, which was almost an incurable disease at that time. Fortunately, some missionaries introduced Western medicine Penicillin into China. It cured his pneumonia and saved his life.
During one incident in his youth, while escaping enemy bombardment, Dr. Lee witnessed a bomb detonating and breaking a large bridge, sending victims flying into the air. The planes flew dangerously close to the ground, and he could even clearly see the white scarves worn by the Japanese pilots fluttering in the wind as they departed after the bombings.
(The below content is excerpted from the book
Build the Rainbow of Your Success.
During a bombing raid, my mother and
I hid under a black umbrella by the riverbank. The enemy biplanes flew so low
that I could see the pilots’ white scarves, waving in the wind. As the bombs
fell on the bridge, I saw bodies blown up. I kept asking my mother: “Where is
our Air Force?” She said we had none. I swore then that when I grew up, I would
join the Air Force and shoot down all the enemy planes. In 1945, the war was
over and so was my dream of joining the Air Force. My love for airplanes had
just begun.
)
At that time, the Kuomintang troops
didn't even have an independent air force established. Therefore, young Robert
aspired to serve in the air force when he grew up. However, a few years later,
World War II ended, and his dream of becoming a pilot remained unfulfilled. He
shifted his ambition to scientific exploration in the aerospace field.
With exceptional intelligence and unwavering determination, he overcame various
obstacles, even though he knew no English upon arriving in the United States.
Through painstaking efforts, eventually, MIT admitted him, partly due to his
outstanding academic performance and his steadfast choice of aerospace
engineering. Graduating from MIT, he dedicated his lifetime to research and
exploration in the aerospace field.
Some of Robert's classmates and teachers once mocked young Robert's dream of entering MIT, saying that the dream was like "a lazy toad wants to eat swan meat". They didn't understand his experiences and personality. A strong aspiration, coupled with unconventional wisdom, can help people overcome many barriers and launch a new course in their life.
Remarks:
Bayesian Approach can also be applied to predict the types of subjects that may appear in certain exams.
This approach can be helpful for young students preparing for exams.
